Our Story
Waterloo-Born. Winter-Hardened.
We're not a franchise. We're your neighbors — and we've been clearing Waterloo driveways and parking lots since 2019.
Built Right Here in Waterloo
Snow Troops started in 2019 with one truck, one plow, and a simple idea: Waterloo deserved a snow removal company that actually showed up. Not a national franchise dispatching crews from three counties away — a local team that knew the streets, knew the neighborhoods, and cared about the people living in them.
Over the years we've grown into one of Black Hawk County's most trusted snow and ice management companies. We now run a full fleet of commercial-grade equipment and serve hundreds of residential and commercial clients across Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and the surrounding area.
But the core hasn't changed. We still monitor every forecast. We still dispatch before the storm hits. And we still answer the phone when you call.
Locally owned and operated since 2019.

How We Work
Four principles that guide every job we take on in Waterloo and Black Hawk County.
Show Up First
We stage crews before storms hit. Your property is cleared before you need it — not after you've already been stuck.
Local Knowledge
We know Waterloo's streets, slopes, and problem spots. That local expertise means faster routes and better results.
Professional Equipment
Commercial-grade plows, spreaders, and de-icing rigs — not pickup trucks with aftermarket blades.
Honest Pricing
No surprise invoices after a big storm. Seasonal contracts mean one price, all winter, no matter what Iowa throws at us.
Professional Equipment for Every Job
We invest in the right tools so we can handle anything Iowa winter delivers. Our fleet includes commercial-grade plow trucks, skid steers for tight spaces, bulk salt spreaders, and liquid anti-icing rigs. Every piece of equipment is maintained and ready before the season starts.
- Commercial plow trucks with front and wing blades
- Skid steers for tight lots and walkways
- Bulk salt and calcium chloride spreaders
- Liquid anti-icing application rigs
- GPS-tracked fleet for real-time route monitoring
The Crew Behind the Plow
Snow Troops is built on the people who show up at 3 AM when everyone else is asleep. Our crews are trained, experienced, and take pride in doing the job right — every driveway, every parking lot, every storm. We run consistent teams so you see the same faces all season long.
